Clinique and Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai announced a philanthropic partnership establishing the Mount Sinai-Clinique Healthy Skin Dermatology Center.

The Center will conduct research in dermatology regarding biological underpins of skin aging, skin allergies and inflammatory of eczematous skin conditions such as eczema. Research will go towards identifying solutions for these skin conditions.

The Research

The Mount-Sinai Center hopes the research found can accelerate new topical and systemic treatments to alleviate allergic skin conditions. The Center aims to discover how to slow the visible signs of aging in all people, especially those with eczema, who show signs of premature or accelerated aging.

Research will also serve as a resource for future Clinique products designed for people with allergic or sensitive skin.

As part of the partnership, Clinique has made a philanthropic commitment of $5 million over the course of seven years to the Mount Sinai-Clinique Healthy Skin Dermatology Center. Funds will go toward scientist and physician recruitment and equipment, as well as laboratory and clinical space.
